I'm sorry to hear that Jana! It definitely sucks you have to go to Toronto ... But yeah, the timing sucks .

But weren't you planning to go to Nova Rock? Live's playing there as well.

It's was different but quite good.

The tickets were expensive, so there was a lot of anticipation. They did play for 2.5 hours!!!! Which was amazing.

They played Queen and Bad Company songs and both Brian May and Roger Taylor sang a couple of songs. Brian May's guitar work is amazing. As is the light show

What was a bit weird was that this is the first time I've heard Queen songs not sung by Mercury - but Rodgers did a great job by NOT trying to replace Mercury but singing and performing in his own style. I LOVE his pants - all of them...

Bohemian Rapsody was done via a big screen with Mercury singing the song and Taylor and May playing along - at the end of the song Rodgers came in. In a way there was nobody else but Mercury who could have done that song (and it was a shortened version), but in another, it was weird to run a video for a song... I guess it was either that or not including BR in the set and I am glad it was in it...

Contrary to newspaper reports, the show was not 'packed solid' -- in fact, it might have been half full. (can't stand the dude that does concert reviews for our paper)

So anyway - it was a great show but pricey and I don't think I'd see them a second time around. Though am glad I did see them once.

Thanks for the review. I thought about going to see them in Buffalo last March but decided to pass. If I ever go to Vegas I do want to go see the Queen Tribute We Will Rock You. I've heard they are awesome.

Saw a Pink Floyd tribute band last night, called Off The Wall. They were very good, got through most of the classics. A nice use of lights and lasers. The video backdrop was pretty cool, too.

Saw Controller Controller and Be Your Own Pet on Tuesday.
Controller Controller were okay, not great though, while BYOP were just terrible. Immature high school punk rock band on drugs. The instruments didnt play together at all and the voice of the singer was just awful.

The Datsuns are playing at Nova Rock too! Too bad, they are really good live.
