Well I've been to 5 Bon Jovi shows and 4 Bruce shows in the last 5 weeks! Not bad huh?
Bj played our request in Denmark and Bruce took my friend's request sign on Friday but didn't play the song until Saturday (Drive all night). Those were a few of the hightlights for us. Now my wallet is empty and my head is just full of music. I even wondered for one split second during the Bruce show on Saturday if it was Bad Medicine or Badlands that were the last song before the encores! hahaha totally mixed up.

It was the 30th anniversary of their Hearts of Stone album and they started out playing the entire album. Then Southside and Bobby (yes the same Bobby Bandiera - more on him later) did an acoustic set. Then the entire band came back out and they played a full concert. The concert was almost 3 1/2 hours long - and that doesn't count the opening bands that played both inside and outside. The music started at 5:30 and finished at midnight. The Stone Pony had 4 bars set up and a place they were barbecuing and it's one block from the water. It really doesn't get much better than this.

The Southside Johnny crowd was very happy to have Bobby back - unlike the people that bash him on this board. Bobby is buried in the Bon Jovi band - he has an excellent voice but he doesn't sing as well as Jon - and his guitar skills are superb but his style is very different than Richie's. It's a no win situation for him - though I assume he's being paid well. His acoustic guitar work was superb during the acoustic set and his voice and Southside's blend together like Jon and Richie's do. He really shines there, where he simply can't with Bon Jovi.

If anyone is interested I got an excellent recording of the show and it was just uploaded on dime.
I just finished listening to Kathleen's excellent recording of SSJ -- wow, what a show! Now THAT'S live music! Definitely worth downloading. Thanks again, Kathleen.

Finntroll last night. Fun, fun, fun! The crowd went berserk over Trollhamaren, as expected

Queen and paul rogers last night, i'll be honest i was skeptical about it at first but it was a brilliant show, i was surprised when one of my main highlights was off the new album, but they just seemed so much like a band for that. Also Al Murray(pub landlord) made an appearance during one song. Oh and the o2 is a fantastic venue, really annoyed i missed bon jovi there.

Nine Inch Nails tonight in Orlando. Get ready Terri. It's like no show you've ever seen.

It was my first time seeing them, I'm not the biggest fan but damn what a show. Probably the best stage show/lighting/screens I have ever seen. My ears are still ringing so off to bed. I'll report more tomorrow if anyone is interested.
