Fleetwood Mac

They were amazing still almost after 40 years. My friend had got the tickets and I had no idea where we were sitting until we got there...we sat on the main floor only about 10 rows away from the stage. Lindsey is really a great guitarist and Stevie still had her voice. The whole band was just in great music form.

Or decent job or a helpin' hand
Wherever somebody's strugglin' to be free
Look in their eyes Mom you'll see me."

The Fray w/ Shelley Harland and Secondhand Serenade at Metro City, St Patrick's Day.

Supports were rather bland but **** I love The Fray.

InMe at the Borderline last night, a teeny little venue, absolutely rammed and hot as hell ... gig was only 1 hour 15 cos of the curfew, but was still damn good!

Bruce (in Boston) last night. Quick review:

It doesn't ever get much better than this.

Just back from the Specials. Buzzing way too much to sleep - the sweat was dripping off the ceiling in there. Absolutely bloody magnificent.

NOFX were meh on Friday - going through the motions. Though Snuff supported and they always put a smile on your face.

Just came home from the Pete Seeger tribute at MSG. Bruce had the comment of the night. "Pete" he said, "you outlasted the bastards". He also went on to say that Pete looked "just like your kindly old grandfather if you didn't know any better. A kindly old grandfather who can kick your ass"

This was a lineup of incredible talent.

Joan Baez (who still sounds gorgeous)
Tom Paxton
Arlo Guthrie
Dave Matthews
Bruce Springsteen w Tom Morello
Richie Havens
Roger McGuinn
Kris Kristofferson
Taj Mahal

and lots more - many of whom I forget right now.

The concert started at 5:00 pm and ended at 9:40. Yes - a 4 1/2 hour show. I paid $20.00 for my ticket at Madison Square Garden. For the Nth time I'm so glad I live here and get to see this stuff.

Had to rescue this thread.

Saw Skin from Welsh Wales last night - their first gigs in 12 years. And they were bloody magnificent. I felt 16 again. The actual 16 year olds in the audience were bored as ****, but a lot of love and a lot of rock in the room.

Skin were actually the first band I ever saw - supporting Thunder back in 95.

Last gig I was at was the Counting Crows a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely great gig, and I was front and centre, which only ever improves things.
