Making of Band 'DC'...........one year on the line.......

So, what's the answer?

Well, here's what I wanted advice on...

There's this girl...Best start at the beginning. A few years ago, a boy and a girl moved in on our street. The girl is my age, the boy is 2 years older. "Sue" and "Bob" I'll call them, but that's not their real names. "Bob" and I got to be friends real quick. He was interested in everything I am, computers, politics (not my kind though), the same sports I'm interested in, etc. I was always uncomfortable around "Sue" but as time went on, I got to know her and enjoy her company as a friend. In the end, I think we were much better friends than me and "Bob". Not like...well, you know...but I'd hoped it'd eventually go there...despite the fact that my parents would skin me for having a girlfriend... She flirted with me occasionally, once asked me (jokingly I'm sure) to go out with her. I said I didn't know where we could go. (For the record, this is ALWAYS the wrong answer) Anyway, my brother enters the picture, and he doesn't like either of them from day one. He makes it very clear to both of them, don't know why. Last summer we organized a party kinda thing. Sports, that sort of thing, with food after. Well, it ends about halfway through with my brother taking something from "Sue" and she slapped him. Now mind you, he's like, 6'3, and she's about 5'0. She wound up slapping his back. He laughed it off. After some rather regrettable words on the parts of both parties, I was forbidden to see both my friends. "Bob" was leaving for the military the very next week, and after some arguing with my parents, I was allowed to go say goodbye.

Fastforward about 3 months. My brother (and my parents to a certain extent) make it very clear they have no respect for my 2 friends every chance he gets. October rolls around, and "Bob" is back from the military. I'm allowed to go over to his house whenever he's around (every weekend), but not allowed to have anything to do with "Sue" any other time (despite the fact that I think we were still better friends than I was with "Bob"). This lasted until about last April, when "Bob" went back to camp or wherever. Before he left "Sue" gave me her email address. Over the summer, we exchanged about 100 emails (in secret mind you) and met twice to hang out at a park (again, in secret). "Bob" came back in June, and we all hung out (well, "Bob" prefered to play SOF on his laptop rather than do anything with us, so it was pretty much just me and "Sue" hanging out). Just like old times. Again, I was kinda hoping we'd eventually be more than friends, though there's probably no chance in heck that could happen. The few weeks that I was hanging out over there were great. Their family made a few attempts to patch things up with my family, which didn't go over real well here. "Bob" went back before the 4th of July, which put an end to my doing anything with them. "Sue" and I continued emailing over the rest of summer and the fall. The last letter I got from was on Dec 22. Somehow I think I said something to her that was misunderstood, cause 2 months and 5 letters later she's still not answering (she'd gotten a new computer the week before her last letter, and said she'd be writing more regularly now). I don't know what to do. I don't know what I CAN do. I don't want to let this friendship go, but we don't go to the same school, and there's no real way for me to talk to her. "Bob" will be coming back in a few months, and I don't want to go over there if she hates me (or even worse, if somehow she managed to get her parents to hate me too). I've been running down all my options and I can't think of anything to do.

God that reads pathetic...anybody got any advice? Or should I just drop the whole thing?

PS I've gotten a few (less than you all probably think) song ideas out of this whole mess (I always add some drama to them though ).

Can we keep you on retainer? We've got at least 1 song in the works right now, probably 2, so we might not be able to do a collaboration. Also, I think Allmike will probably want the final word to ok a collaboration, but I don't think he'll have a problem with it.

what kind of feel and sound r u guys going for with heartbreak town. ive got the beat in my head but i need to know wot kind of feel and sound ur going for so i know im on the right track and i can get a sound on the kit to fit with it.

mister big time - if you read more of the thread youd see that adrians post isnt off topic- he'd asked us if we minded listenign to what he had to say,

and for now, if you wanna post some of your stuff or see if anyone will collabarate with you in the meantime try the music forum... its always a good bet.

mister big time, if u can post one of ur song then we can decide on u. But for at moment we really looking at musician who can play good in band. So if u have that talent then it would really help ur cause.
