Well, that's what I envision for the song. Kind of a unique ending, ending without a verse or chorus or anything, sort of like Alive by Pearl Jam. What do you guys think? I tried to run with the idea of an outlaw bracing themselves for one last break for freedom, sort of like the end of RSOW, so it may seem, I dunno, fatalistic to say the least. Feel free to tweak it, twist it, whatever you want.

Another thing, I'm thinking if we do finish this CD, this song should be somewhere in the middle. We had talked about doing a "chaptered" CD, with each half sort of telling a story or theme. I think this would make for a good end for the first "chapter", with Back Into Dry County being the final song of the second "chapter" ie the end of the CD. Anyone got any opinions on my idea?

well, im back! the holidays is about to finish. heart break town is too! i'll get it finished this weekend, actually i was too busy to work on it through the holidays. but ill finish it till the weekend.

nothing that i'm willing to post yet. been totally overloaded with work lately, i'm so burnt out and unfortunately the art has reflected a lot of that. but as soon as i feel good enough about some of the pieces i've done i'll post them.

great song this one for sure. I like ur idea about making chapeter, but for that all songs have to some how connected to theam?

Arash:Glad you're back! I'm really glad to hear that HBT is coming along. When you post it, please don't post the instructions on how to access it here. Post it or send the instructions to the DC email acount (I can send you the info on it if you don't have the PM anymore) and then let us know here that the info's in the acount. Did you want to tweak SOODC, or add anything to it?

Allmike:My idea wouldn't mean that all the songs are linked, except maybe by the most general of themes. Check out Meat Loaf's Couldn't Have Said It Better album, the way its divided into chapters. I'm not certain all the songs are linked. I came up with a potential tracklisting, keep in mind I'm going on the assumption that we're only putting 10 songs on a CD (that's all that'll fit given the length of the songs).

What do you think? I set it up with a cassette tape in mind (though it'll be a CD), with 5 songs being a side, and each side being a chapter. Another thing we'll have to do when all the songs is finished is decide how and when we want to release them, and what (if any) singles to release.

that is good idea. So u want to finish up recording all the song before we thinking about releasing single or should we go ahead with single as soon as let say'HBT' comes along and then think about full album??.

I don't think HBT should be a single...or at least not yet. I had an idea on how to pick singles and release the album. We'd release 5 singles before the album, starting with "Straight Out Of" and ending with "Back Into," and then let a selected group of JTers listen to the other songs and decide which they liked best. I'm guessing Hands Of Time, Back, Win Or Lose, and Heartbreak Town would all be top candidates. Then, once we'd worked our way through the singles (hopefully Peter will host the CD under submitted mp3s) we release all the other songs and the artwork.

hi again, ive come with some good news, i just finished Heartbreak town. ive been working and recording within the last 2 days, and now i got it finished and ready. i hope ill be able to upload it within the next 2 days. when i uploaded it, ill give u the info.
