Guys, just wondering, is MB20 a good band to get into? My Saviour(meaning my new girl who saved me from depression cuz my wife cheated on me) is a big fan of MB20. She went out of her way and try to get familiar with Bon Jovi and Aerosmith(my favorites), so I think its just fair to listen to MB20.

Which album should I go for? And whats the theme of most of their songs?

Also about North, the deluxe edition just got 2 additional songs right? In Amazon, its $12 more.

Yeah, they are a really good band to get into. At the moment they only have 3 proper albums and a Greatest hits with 6 new tracks on it. All worth a listen IMO.

Their 3 albums are: Yourself Or Somone Like You, Mad Season and More Than You Think You Are. The GH collection is Exile On Mainstream. Out of those my favourite is Yourself Or Someone Like You.

I feel that as a band they release a new record when they feel ready, not because they need to, so they don't feel rushed and have very little, if any filler on them at all.

As for the themes of their music, a lot of the lyrics seem personal to Rob Thomas (lead singer and main songwriter) he explains a few of them in this video: well worht a watch when you have a spare hour

Hope that answers your questions!

Nope, we're just gonna wait for the full tour next year. Would love to go to the Shepherds Bush gig, but we're saving our pennies

Yeah, they are kind of soft rock. I actually got into MB20 after seeing them support Bon Jovi in 2001. Instantly liked their sound. Rob Thomas's solo albums might be worth checking out aswell.

In the UK it's called the International Deluxe edition. As far as I know it's just a few extra tracks.

Yeah, MB20 opened for Bon Jovi in 2001. Not sure how many shows they did with them, but they were the support act for all the UK shows at least.
