Foos albums are too filler and not all killer.
The new album is good and is fantastic towards the end. But there are still a few fillers on there

I'm not sure how you are making the distinction between your examples of "Classics" and the current Foos album based on "filler." From where I sit, there isn't really any filler on Wasting Light, just one or two songs not being relatively as strong as the rest. SWW has Without Love & Social Disease. Appetite has Out Ta Get Me, Think About You, & Anything Goes (and I can easily add more to that list as far as I'm concerned, but I'm being generous.) Then your other two examples.......let's just say it saves time to just list the 2 or 3 songs to each album that might be considered classics and shove the rest out the door for being what they are.... filler.
You are trying to say that a "classic" is an album that offers something fresh and sets the world on fire. Really? By all accounts, Metallica's Black album is regarded as a classic, but the only thing it really did different was make their music more accessible to a wider audience. As far as I'm concerned, Wasting Light stomps all over it in consistency and quality.
I think some people are going to be surprised at how this album takes off. They've only begun to promote it and they obviously believe in it to keep playing it from front to back. The awards show appearances, Festival broadcasts, and whatever other major exposure they get over the next year will continue to propel it. It's not going to be a flash and fade deal.
