Fair play to him for standing his ground. I often wonder how certain people have the nerve to directly insult a hugely successful person when their own achievements are not comparable.
You see it a lot with football players who have Twitter accounts. Fans sending them abusive tweets because they have underperformed or cost the team a goal. There's a huge difference between
thinking someone is rubbish to actually telling them direct.
Seen a recent interview with Meatloaf. He really doesn't look or sound well.
