Picked this up and I think it sucks. I was excited to hear it because I really like the single but couldn't get into any of the other songs at all. This Ain't A Love Song is interesting and because of the title I knew I had to listen to it.

Lyrics are awful throughout. I know Motley have never been known for their writing but lyrics like "This ain't a love song, it's a *uck song, you don't have to sing along..." C'mon, really? These are men in their 40's still singing about these things? It has more going for it then the new Def Leppard album in my opinion but I hate it when bands act tough just because it's the cool thing to do. Throughout the album, it's like they're thinking "Well, we better put some *ucks in here and talk about sex and sluts here."

I guess I just don't buy it. Sounds forced.

"Each song played was just another example of how ingenious these guys are at writing choruses that make you feel like there’s a big game tomorrow, that you’re the underdog, and that you’re going to win."

Well, I'm sure they still shag. They are rockstars

But acting touch has always been the Crue. It's their image.

I get where you're coming from. No doubt, the single is the best track on the album. I kind of like "Love Song". It's catchy. That's Motley Crue for you. Actually, would you believe Nikki Sixx turns 50 this year?

Another thing to keep in mind about this record - It's a concept album. It's a soundtrack if you will, for The Dirt. If you read the book, it makes a bit more sense. Doesn't change the fact that some of the lyrics are shit, but that's where it was derived from.

I can't wait to get the album.

The song SOLA alone is MUCH BETTER than any song from the latest Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Guns N Roses album.

You really think so?
I don't think it holds a candle to "Any Other Day" or "Bad Actress" respectively.

Yes I do think so.

In my opinion, the only new song (new being from 07 and 0 by a relatively 'old' rock band that can compare to SOLA is Never Walk Away by Journey.

Even the best tracks in LH and SFTSL (I Love This Town and Hallucinate respectively) are not as good as SOLA.
