Now that the album has been released, I think "We're Still Here" is probably my favorite song from it (barring possibly the 5 bonus tracks if I ever get to hear them).

Bit underwhelmed by the album, too many ballads that all sound a bit samey. His voice still sounds fantastic though.

Haven't heard the five bonus tracks yet. Highlights thus far No Erasin' and No More Cryin'.

Pretty much this. But I can’t say it wasn’t what I was always expecting the next Steve Perry album to be this far down the line. Would have liked a song or two in the vein of “You Better Wait” or something like that.

Yeah definitely - a couple of more uptempo numbers would have changed the dynamics of the album for the better. Especially the second half with the weaker songs.

Of what I have heard, "We're Still Here" is..... still here with me. I also think the album needs more balance, but once I watched the 3 videos released.. I knew the album was going to be in this vein.

Definitely great to see him back and enjoying himself.

Completely unexpected, but "We're Still Here", my personal favorite from this album, is at #14 on the US adult contemporary chart and climbing! His first album in over 20 years and it's actually getting airplay and charting! Here's the new video he released:

I've always loved Perry's voice. Great to hear him still sound that good - certainly a hundred times better than a "certain someone" we all know. Feels like his voice has mostly just matured with age, instead of having exactly declined (although the high register doesn't seem to be quite as strong as during his Journey peak era, but that is to be expected in general; the guy is 71 after all, and not everybody is Steven Tyler).

Btw, Walleris - that No Erasin' is actually a decent song for me
