It's not the original live version. She refused to do a remake and because the original version wasn't good at all they used the vocal track from the rehearsals.


The Berlin DVD is heavily overdubbed, hence it being as awesome as it is now. It's not live though, not at all.

He's touring THE WALL... a dream comes true!

Not at all? Have you compared to the original broadcast? I'd like to do that now.

Apart from the fact that I hate overdubs on live recordings, if that's what makes the show so great, so be it. The music and the visuals are breathtaking and helped me to appreciate the full scale of the album a couple of years ago. I think band and artists are all fine, and while my brother always said, Roger (who's not the greatest singer himself) caught a bad day, he's the music justice. He as the general... mindblowing.

I like part 2 the most.
Another Brick in the Wall Part 2, as well as a lot of songs on the PULSE-dvd are songs to close your eyes and drift away.

When I turn on The Wall Remastered I always wait 2 minutes and then decide to rapidly change the DVD for the PULSE-one to hear a version with a better audio-track. Yet, Part 2 with Cyndi Lauper from the Wall DVD is great!

On balance, it's probably worth the risk of shoplifting/petty theft to afford a ticket.

have i just actually read a couple of people saying they liked cyndi lauper on the berlin dvd?
**** me i love that show but her catterwaling through her performance is a total wtf moment on that show.
