Hmmm then maybe you should try some Darkthrone, especially their latest albums (Norwegian black metal at it's best) and some Immortal. At the heart of Winter from Immortal is a masterpiece. If you like it loud and noisy some In Flames wouldn't hurt either. Try to borrow some CDs from your friends and don't spend your paycheck in bands you've never heard of.
