Ok, that's me. I still think it was very different from what was out there at the time, even though it took me quite a while to get into it. There is such a thing as prune juice? Don't see where they are a mush of all bands ever out there...

I disagree - I thought they were fantastic - saw them at an arena stage and they were right up there with Franz Ferdinand for stage presence. Above the Killers and Modest Mouse who were also on the bill that night.

as long as one likes the music, why does everything has to be innovative? having said that: a band that uses only keyboards and drums is pretty rare nowadays. so i really don't see what you mean by "a blend of every band you've ever heard before". you obviously haven't heard a lot of music in your life...

i disagree also. saw them in one night with several other bands (including kings of leon, mark lanegan, soulwax and some others) and they were the best by far. a lot of energy, great connection to the audience etc. etc.
to me, this is much more important than bands that use extra lights/video screens etc just too distract from their awful playing live
