Oh, Ryan honey, that sentence just makes no sense. There is no possible way you can put PJ and RHCP in the same sentence with any of the rest.

Haven't listened to the new GGD album yet...

Just wanted to say I am loving the new song from RHCP, "Dani California".

A great sound, great rhythm, a really good feel to the song. I have always like Anthony Kiedis songwriting style and attitude.

I am now curious to hear the new album!

Am i the only one to think the beginning sounds identical to 'country house' by blur?

OK, so upon second full listen to the first disc, I feel I didn't give it enough credit or listen to it properly the first time round. It's a lot better than I remember it, John especially showing his genius

But, despite the fact that individually the songs are mostly all good, I still have a couple of problems with it as an album ... for a start, it tends to drag a bit in places, and secondly, it almost seems like they set about to recreate their own sound through various eras .... there's not really a defining Stadium Arcadium sound that I've discovered so far, its just song that sound like they could be BSSM era, songs that sound like they could be Mother's Milk era, songs that could be Californication era and songs that could be By The Way era. And as such, the whole thing comes across as more of a compilation of b-sides from each of those albums ... very impressive b-sides, but it still lacks the cohesion of an album

I'll keep you informed as to how this progresses

I don't think I agree with this at all. To me there are two general RHCP eras: pre Californication and post Californication. I don't find Mothers Milk soo much different from Freaky Stiley for example. And both Californication and By The Way are very pop.

Stadium Arcadium, on the other hand, has a lot of pop influences and is probably the most melodic record of all without going completely pop as with the two previous releases. If anything it brings the two eras together - going back to more funk, but retaining some of the melodic pop qualities.
