Default Tesla

Anyone knows this band?

A friend gave me a huge amount of CDs from his collection to listen to and just today I put Tesla in my CD player. Sounds great. I think I have the albums "The great radio controversy" (which I'm listening to right now) and "psychotic supper". So if you know the band - what do you recommend to get into their stuff? Any other great album, a must hear?

I like Tesla. Some songs of theirs I reccommend:

Song and Emotion
Hang Tough
Paradise
Caught up In A Dream
Signs
Love Song~ my favorite!! (especially the live one)

oh my God I love Tesla

other than the two you hve, check out Into the Now and Mechanical Resonance

I've got a Tesla acoustic show that's an excellent kind of intro to the band...get in touch with me if you're interested in that

As far as individual songs go:
What You Give
Gettin' Better
The Way it Is
Heaven's Trail (No Way Out)

are all absolute must-listens

I've just gotten into them recently, but they're quickly moving near the top of my list

I love the singer, his voice is unique but not irritating

Yeay, it is unique. He's got this raspy quality to his voice and sounds kind of like a Southern rocker... but I think the band is from Sacramento. I think I might pick up the Live Five Man Acoustical Jam album

Little Suzi's on the up, looking for a get-away
Ruby tries to bring her down, she's lookin' for another way
Little Suzi's on the up, headin' for the spotlights
Ruby finally gets up, lookin' for some quiet night

[[Chorus:]]
And the music makes her feel so hot
Ooh and she'll smile for the camera with all she's got
Don't bring her down, she's a lot like you
She'll be richer by far if her dreams come true

Little Suzi's on the up

Little Suzi's on the up, now suddenly it's not a game
Ruby's got to give up, 'cos Suzi's plainly set on pain
Little Suzi's on the up, cost in cost, your point is made
Ruby's gonna hang around, to make sure Suzi's okay

[Chorus]

Don't bring her down, she's a lot like you
She'll be richer by far if her dreams come true

Little Suzi's on the up

[Solo]

[Chorus]

Don't you bring her down, she's a lot like you
She'll be richer by far when her dreams come true

Little Suzi's on the up, oh yes she is, ow!
Now she's on the up, little Suzi's on the up
Heading for the spotlight, oh little Suzi
Oh and the music makes her feel so hot, go little Suzi, yeah
Ohh, yeah yeah, oh yeah

Love 'em

(hennemusic) Sacramento rockers Tesla will begin a recording a new album next week. The band posted an image of singer Jeff Keith and guitarist Frank Hannon next to a white board with a list of potential song titles for the project.

"The song list is growing!," wrote the group. "JK and FH here next to the list of songs for the new album. Right now the band is going thru each song working on all the details of the parts including the tempos as you can the the bpm# on the board. Recording starts Monday and the first batch of 8 or 9 songs will be recorded!"

Working titles listed on the board include "MP3", "Ricochet", "Cross My Heart", "Sympathy", "Rise And Fall", "Break Of Dawn", "Life Let" and "Burn To Fade." See the photo here.

I've seen them 2-3 times live. A good album of theirs is RePlugged Live. Good audio quality and such and I also got the only live-dvd they released plus I ripped the audio from that. Solid rock. Not the biggest fan of them but I can appreciate it

I salute you,
TS
