Mechanical Resonance: Second only to Appetite For Destruction as the best debut album of that era.

The success of Slippery When Wet inspired the other record labels to sign, invent, or exhume their harder-rocking bands. Tesla was certainly one of the better ones. Their guitarists went by the nickname "Mess and Finesse"!

Some great tracks on the 1st couple of albums,EZ ComeEz go,modernday cowboy, cummin atcha live etc but not great albums imo. Saw them support def lep in 86 and again imo they were just ok. Not really followed them since the 2nd album.

A better group to me are Babylon Ad who wrote some songs with Jack Ponti iirc, worth listening to their debut album or Nothing Sacred.
