If you want Floyd history - try Nick Mason's book "Inside Out" - A Personal HIstory of Pink Floyd. Are you sure Mark Blake's book isn't called Comfortably Numb - I have that one.

nope it's definitely called pigs might fly. has the cover of animals on the cover and is fairly recent as the final chapter talks about richard wrights death.
great book either way. each chapter pretty much covers a big moment in the bands career from their early years growing up together to forming the band, syd going nuts, breaking it big, and after that each chapter pretty much covers every album and tour from dark side of the moon to live 8
