Nope - tour ends in November. And it has already been announced that there will be at least a 2 year break. Which is why it's possible that those will be the last 2 shows. At this point I have 5 Giants shows and 2 MSG shows lined up. Earlier this year I was at 6 shows - 2 Boston, 2 Philly and 2 New Jersey (Continental). If this is it - I want to have a lot of music in my ears for a while to come.

And Oli - I'm not trying to make you jealous. I know all about being a younger Bruce fan and dying to go to more shows. There were years he played close by and I had little kids and no money. I guess I'm making up for lost time.

I had plans on going to NYC/NJ this fall but they didn't work out
I really would have like to see Bruce and E Street at Giants and MSG once
but it's not to be. However, I'm quite satisfied with the shows I did
get to see from Dec 2007 up to June 2009. 10 shows. Not too bad in my
book.

Are you going to try and get in to the Elvis Costello TV show, Kathleen?
I'm sure that will be brilliant.

I was in Greenville, South Carolina, for the show on Wednesday night. Wonderful show to say the least. Bruce was off the stage and into the pit by the 4th song of the night, and that was just the first of 4 times that he left the stage, if I remember correctly. Highlights for me were Atlantic City, This Hard Land (sign request) and Backstreets. The second sign request that they did was a song that the E Street Band had never done, and it went over REALLY well with the crowd -

I generally prefer requests for obscure Bruce stuff, but that was so much fun! That video was too far away to tell, but the band really seemed to enjoy it, too. Jay (who did the whole show - Max was on Conan) seemed especially happy with this choice. Bruce had announced This Hard Land as the first request before checking to see if Jay knew it. . . . He didn't. Bruce said, "Nothin' to it, kid. Nothin' to it." Jay didn't look convinced, but Nils and Steve gave him a crash course, and he got through it just fine. He looked very relieved when it was over, though. Nice that he got to let it rip on the next one!

Thunder Road closed the show -

I'm not sure any song has better opening lines than that.

Wreck on the Highway, which hasn't been done in forever, was on the handwritten setlist but wasn't done. The people in line for the pit heard it being soundchecked, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up soon.

Damn, both Jay and Bruce have cut their hair.

I'm waiting patiently for the boot of that one Brian. It sounds like a great show.

All except for that transition from Jungleland to Sunny Day. Ouch. That would be painful.

Kathleen, do you like the placement of the BTR album in the middle of the set? I guess I just assumed it would be at the start or maybe at the end of the main set. I wasn't expecting it in the middle. It will be interesting to see if that's different in Nashville.
