Another 'Sunny Day hater huh? Quickly thinking it's another of those "I'm one of the few to love it" songs.
In any case I think Sunny Day (or any type of sing song, "simple" rocker) after Jungleland is a great idea. Having seen Jungleland twice, it's so epic that it drains (not in a bad way mind you) both the band and the crowd. There has to be a brief respite song after it IMHO. I can't wait for the 30th, and moreso the 9th.

It isn't my favorite to begin with, and I've only been to 4 shows, but I'm so over the cute little girl sing-alongs that I could puke. (Although I have to admit that the girl at Izod night 2 was so serious about doing it right that you had to pull for her. She was okay. However, even of the father of one of the ones in Greenville says that if she sings one more time Bruce is gonna have to pay her. Oh please. Enough already.) Of course, Sunny Day is better than WOAD. Almost anything is better than that. Evidently WOAD was a train wreck last night. Bruce blamed the band, but the band says Bruce skipped a verse and caused the problems. According to BTX, this blame game was played out onstage! LOL We need that bootleg to settle the score.

I've heard Jungleland twice, and I loved where it was placed the second time. This was the encore at Izod 1:

Hard Times (which I love)
Thunder Road
Jungleland
Land of Hopes and Dreams
American Land
Rosalita

Now that's an encore!

Kathleen, do you like the placement of the BTR album in the middle of the set? I guess I just assumed it would be at the start or maybe at the end of the main set. I wasn't expecting it in the middle. It will be interesting to see if that's different in Nashville.
Personally - I would have preferred it at the beginning. Not to get it over with but to showcase it. Then the rest of the show would be familiar. However I can see them wanting to mix it up - they have done this a few times already.

I don't hate Waiting on a Sunny Day - I loved Southside's slower (bluesier) take on it. It's just the juxtaposition with Jungleland that would put it in a bad light. They are two very different songs.

I will say, I've never seen Sunny Day live, and the singing kid thing would annoy me,but I do like the studio version a lot.

I just listened to that today. Very nice indeed.

Bruce did Incident in Des Moines, Iowa, tonight! Who would have guessed that?! (What is is about Iowa?! That's where Jovi pulled out the real Always on the LH tour.)

EDIT - It's actually an amazing setlist, and the show isn't over!

Saw Meeting into Jungleland at the Garden back in '07... amazing.
One of my all time favorite concert moments, first outings for them on the Magic Tour actually.

I'm really missing LOHAD. I will be legit disappointed if I don't get that and Thunder Road between the two Giants shows.
