Oh how I wish I could be there!

Meeting Across the River and E Street Shuffle, two songs I'm never gonna hear live I guess.

Glad to hear you guys had a great time. I'm so psyched for next Friday. It's going to rock. I've decided I'm pretty excited to hear all of Born in the USA, even though it does mean I'm likely not to get Backstreets as well!

Thoughts on Wrecking Ball?

I know I say this almost every time I go to a Bruce show - but this was one of the best I've seen yet. It was 3 hours 15 minutes long on a Wednesday night. There were people complaining that playing an entire album in the middle of the show would reduce spontaneity - well not with Bruce. To start off with a new song was super special (for me at least). Born to Run is one of the best albums ever. Anything that contains Thunder Road and Jungleland pushes it over the top. The rest of the album ain't bad either LOL. There was a 9/11 mini set in the last third from The Rising which was also very nice. The entire setlist was turned on it's head - Atlantic City was early and Growing up (complete with a Birthday story about all the f u c k ing relatives) was late in the set.

All and all a spectacular show. We headed for a Jersey diner right after the show after getting out of the traffic. As we drove into the diner parking lot we must have driven over a big nail or bolt because we heard the sound of air hissing out of the tire upon exiting the car <sigh> So we jumped back in the car and got it home before it went flat. We picked up my daughter's car (my car is a small jeep - four of us would not have fit in it) to go to a closer diner - and it had NO GAS. By now it was after 1:00 am. We finally found an open gas station - fortunately we didn't have to worry about open diners here - they are always open in Jersey. By this time we were cold, and hungry and tired so the burger and fries at 1:30 am was very welcome. Never a dull moment LOL.

Roll on Friday and the Darkness album - after getting the tire fixed today

I wish I could see them again

No act can live up to the magic an E Street show can deliver.

My God. Looks like an amazing show, and by the sounds of it Kathleen you had a very eventful night haha. It's amazing though how endorphins after a great show make everything seem that wee bit brighter
