They were awesome at Manchester in 2007 and I'm gutted I missed them earlier this year.
Hands-down the best Brooce performance I saw was his Devils and Dust solo show at the Albert Hall. You could hear a pin drop for the whole 3 hours, everyone within arms reach of me was in tears at some point. I left a different person to the one who walked in.

I actually think Bruce needs intimacy generally - E Street lose something going from arenas to stadiums, fo'shure.

I think that Bruce solo and with E Street band are two very different shows altogether. I love the big E-street stadium shows when Bruce goes nuts, something he seldom does in arenas IMO, and then there's Bruce solo as in Albert Hall or in Stockhom/Gothenburg in 2005, so beautiful and tender and just awesome. Wouldn't want to be without any of those experiences.

I'd absolutely kill to see Bruce at a solo show. I can't get enough of his solo performances.

But what I came here to report is - Landau, Bruce's manager, has confirmed to Rolling Stone that in 2010 we will get the Darkness boxset and a Working On A Dream tour DVD.

Pretty cool stuff if plans don't fall through

Yeah he keeps mentioning the darkness box and I do hope it will see the light of day. Even though it will be 32 years celebration at that point and we'll be waiting for a The River box!

I'm curious about this Darkness boxset- the BTR one was pretty good, I hope this one lives up to it. Hopefully there'll be some live footage/recordings from that era in it.

Seriously. Start saving now for the last night of the next tour. Just a little at a time, but do it regularly.

You'll be so glad you did.

And sorry to get all "grandpa", but you'll be just the right age for that kinda trip.

Unfortunately work means I doubt I'll ever catch Springsteen or Jovi finish a tour in the US but I reckon for the next tour (if there is one) I'll follow Bruce around Europe for a bit in the Summer.

Seems like a much more worthwhile investment than doing it with Jovi tbh.

Was listening to the 75-85 live set on my ipod by the pool this morning and I'm convinced that when I go back home my next project is going to be trying to start a Springsteen tribute band.
