You're absolutley right. And I will. One of the things I want to do in life is travel, so I might as well fit seeing my hero into those plans too

Jim - it often crosses my mind that I'd love to start an acoustic Bruce Springsteen tribute band, just a guitar and harmonica and do his acoustic shows. But alas like most of my plans, they never avail

Nah I want to go for the full shabang.

It would be financially and logistically impractical to have a bruce, a clarence, 3 guitarists, a drummer, a pianist and a keyboard player all going at the one time but it would be a blast.

I'm going to give this a good try. Some top class tribute bands can make stupid money to the point you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you how much a decent Sinatra can demand for a gig, I reckon if you got a proper Boss one up and running playing corp gigs you'd be set.

I've always wanted to do a Proclaimer's one with my brother. We'd rake it in but the vocals are too high for me :'(

Jesus frickin' Christ that would be uncanny, Scottish twins doing a Proclaimers tribute act.

Can your brother not see the awesomeness of this?!

That's the name sorted.

I'd be doing that just now instead of stuck here if i could pull it off but believe it or not, they're a very hard band to do properly.

Just read that the Spectacle episode (Elvis Costello show) with Bruce will
be 2 parts, one hour each! yay!. US and Canada is broadcasting end of Jan 2010.
Here in Sweden we'll have to wait until the summer to get the 2nd season.

Super - thanks for the heads up. I'll make sure to watch for it. I'm waiting for the RR HOF show to be shown on Nov. 29
