Thank the Lord (who happens to be Bruce, anyway) that they didn't cut out Youngstown. That would have killed my spirit.

Agreed Youngstown is one of the finest.

And it's possible that it's a typo and Rosie is not left out. We shall see I guess.

It really is. Whilst a lot (and I mean, a hell of a lot) of Bruce songs drop in and out of my Top 10 weekly, Youngstown is one of the few that is fixed. The studio version is great and the electric version on Live In NYC is mind-blowing.

Also, I really adore the following lyrics from the song and it's one of my all time favourite Bruce lyrics:

When I die I don't want no part of heaven
I'd not do heaven's work well
I pray the Devil comes and takes me to stand
In the fiery furnaces of hell

He delivers it with such passion in every live version I hear.

Probably because the filming had been decided before the date. I don't know for sure, but all this has to be planned ahead of time - and nobody knows when you're not going to be at your best.

Bruce was at his best during the last 2 MSG shows. WIESS or The River would have made SUPERB DVDs and I too was hoping it would have been one of them released. They never do ask me though

Those concerts would have been epic indeed. Most of the tracks of the upcoming DVD are already on other DVD's or less epic then having the full River album live on DVD.

A DVD-boxset likes the Stones have done twice would be nice for Springsteen to do as well. There must be enough in the vaults.

I salute you,
TS

Anyone here own The Video Anthlogy DVD?

Just wondering - obviously it has music videos on there - but there is two discs worth. Are they all music videos or are some of them live performances?
And when I mean live performances I don't mean live music videos I know there's one of Tom Joad from the Jay Leno show, anymore?

The DVD wasn't clear.

Thanks in advance.

You Sir, are now going to be held responsible for encouraging me to spend money THAT I REALLY CAN'T SPEND on a Bruce Springsteen DVD.

In the short term I shall love you for it, in the long term maybe not so.
