I don't mean to be a moaning Michael, but why are they releasing The Hyde Park concert? Bruce looks and sounds knackered (rightly so after giving his all at Glastonbury 24 hours before) and it wasn't even a proper Bruce show....

The pic you can see behind that video is of The Dublin show a month later... Now that was proper Bruce, full of energy and in his favourite city.

Just been talking to my mates Josh and Phil (real name Matthew).

Both take the piss out of me for liking Bruce but both admit to liking BITUSA (the song).

So I went onto Phil's Facebook and wrote "If you like Born In The USA..." followed by a link to Murder Incorportated.

Phil isn't online so hasn't commented but Josh did. He said he prefers BITUSA but likes Murder Inc. Also said he never noticed "how political BITUSA is", good job someone is finally being able to see the true meaning of it for once!

I think I may be able to turn these two into Bruce fans.

I was stunned by the version of The River of the Live-box. I still think it's a brilliant intro. Never was a big fan of Streets of Philadelphia. It never sounded as a real Bruce song to me.

I've been listening to The River and Darkness on the Edge of Town all week

I've been thinking about building myself another guitar when I get home and I've decided it's either going to be an OTT gaudy metallic orange jazzmaster or a clone of bruce's tele with a few more bells and whistles.

That's the song that got me into Bruce. I just thought he was a patriotic singing mechanic before I heard it.
