I guess sort of rhetorical Alana. I know that for myself, not only do I NOT mind being challenged by different music, I usually like it.

Though to be perfectly honest, there are times that I just want to go to a "feel good" show and not be challenged. To me - that's sort of the equivalent of comfort food LOL. It's comfort music because you are familiar with it and you already know that you like it.

Oh no...ticketmaster/Ticketsnow does it again....

WASHINGTON - Thousands of Bruce Springsteen fans who thought they had premium seats to next week's Verizon Center concert are finding out a harsh reality: They don't have tickets.

TicketsNow.com, a resale company owned by Ticketmaster oversold the concert.

Now, representatives from the company are calling fans to tell them they don't have the premium seats for which they paid. Some fans paid two to three times the face value of the tickets to get the seats.

Refunds are being given. Customers also are getting free tickets, but they are in the 400 section of Verizon Center, nowhere close to the seats they thought they bought.

TicketsNow says the Verizon Center show is the only one with the problem.

I saw that over on Greasy Lake. Can you imagine how angry some people must be? I can only hope that some of the people messed up by this are lawyers.

I also hope that this screws up their desire to merge with Live Nation so that there is only 1 source for tickets

WTF? I would blow a gasket if I got a call like that! I have a friend going to that one, but she's probably fine. She couldn't get anything but nosebleeds even though she was trying the moment they went on sale. So very nice all around -- the regular folk got screwed because the good tickets were never available to them in the first place, and the fancy folk got screwed because TicketsNow still managed to oversell even after siphoning all the good tickets. Well done.

You are so right, Kathleen. Hopefully an attorney or 2 from the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division got the call!

I don't think it's that. I think it is more of the age difference thing and I know there are plenty of people with my age age bracket on this board whose opinions may differ but I know from my experiences and it doesn't matter who the performer is whether it be Bruce or DMB or RHCP (the latter of the two being very popular with teenage and college age kids), it's been the same. It's a night of drinking, tailgaiting and partying that's a chnage of scenary from the house parties/frats available during this age. It's just not the same when an artist sings something that you are familiar with and you can slur along to it in your drunken form than when you can't because you don't know the words and the music.

Having said that, I was no plastered and was able to enjoy the entire show . In fact, I had the opportunity to go to Hershey to see Bruce again but I've had these Phillies tickets forever thinking Manny Ramirez would be in the line up. Silly me.

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Have a blast Lizz - and if the show is extra good I'm going to kick myself for not going.

I actually have to get something done sometimes though.
