So, I wasn't even going to bother trying for tickets to either of the last two shows. Then I get a text at about 3:00 yesterday afternoon from one of my friends, saying her aunt got tickets to the October 9 show, and that we're going. Karma seems to be on my side for these shows, for sure.

I love Downbound Train, especially the middle, it's haunting.

Would kill to hear it live.

Same goes for I'm On Fire

Lucky guy - I have neither family nor friends who provide tickets. I fend for myself - but I get there by hook or by crook LOL

Downbound train is one of my favorite songs of the album. I love the arrangement of the song and Bruce's vocals are just haunting. However it's not a great song to open with.

Is it wrong that the shows are months away, yet I'm already thinking about what songs I really want to hear in the sets?

I don't mind at all it being the opening song. He's done it twice here in Sweden, once on the solo tour and now last week in Stockholm. I love this song so maybe that's the reason but I think its fine getting it first and then Badlands.

LOL I'm doing it, too, Brian. And I seriously doubt we're the only ones!

Sometimes when I'm listening to Springsteen I'll hear a song I love and think "Man, I better hear this one live!"

And that was before Bruce even announced a gig in the UK.!

But now that I know I'm definatly seeing him, there's a billion songs "I better hear live".

Not at all- I'm thinking of what songs I'd like to hear live and in all likliness, I won't be going to any.

And I absolutely adore Downbound Train- such a beautiful, haunting song. Definately in my top 5 Bruce songs. Have to say, I'm also not sure it would work that well in a live setting, but then again, if I were there I would probably be jumping about like a wee idiot with excitement, possible accidently standing on peoples' feet (as happened both times I heard DC live).

They opened in Bergen with Prove It All Night. Bye happy mood. Bye good atmosphere. Ner understood what people like in that song.

In my opinion, Sweden got the best concerts of the entire tour.

Best concert in my opinion:

June 7, 2009
Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm Stadium
No Surrender
Badlands
Night
My Lucky Day
Outlaw Pete
Spirit In The Night
Working On A Dream
Seeds
Johnny 99
The River
Mony Mony
Trapped
Fade Away
Surprise Surprise
Waiting On A Sunny Day
The Promised Land
Working On The Highway
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
The Rising
Born To Run

Thunder Road
Jungleland
Land Of Hope And Dreams
American Land
Ramrod
Dancing In The Dark
Twist & Shout

The river, jungleland with a stunning solo of Clarence, Thunder Road, No Surrender as opener, ramrod and more more more.
If there is one show that I would be jealous of, it would be that one.
That was one hell of a show.

I salute you,
Thunderstrucker
