just thought id write another post how about how amazing last night was:P, even if we didnt get the jon/bruce duet. It was such a magical moment when bruce asked the roadie for the sign after hard times(i think), then said "ok this ones for you london" and revealed the jungleland sign. Watching him standing holding his guitar up was amazing, gave me the except same feeling as the dry county intro at twickenham last year, it was so amazing, there were 5 or 6 twats a few rows behind me chatting through clarences solo who were duly told to shut up by people around them. I also loved the "get me a ****ing elevator moment", and the interaction between Stevie and bruce at the end of glory days was fantastic.

so fantastic in fact that im currently researching glasgow tickets/cheapest way to get there

Just incredibly envious of the fact you've seen Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and got Bruce Springsteen's sponge.

And man, imagine if I put "Get Springsteen's Sponge" in my sig as one of the signatures! People would think that's a crazy idea - but it's possible by the sounds of it!

also did anyone else think dav matthews cover of along the watch tower was epic, complete with stairway to heaven solo if im not mistaken.

Yeah yeah, don't rub it in!

Also, add The Wrestler to the list of songs I thought they may have played. I know it's the title track, but there's a lot more songs from the new album I'd have rather they played than Working On A Dream

watchtower was about the only thing i could stomach from dave mathews.

having them and james morrison sandwhiched in between 2 balls to the wall rock bands like the gaslight anthem and springsteen was just daft.

would probably explain the large portion of yuppie wankers who have no real right being at an outdoor concert being there.

Seconded

I saw the first couple of James Morrison songs, then wandered off to the Bandstand Stage ... happily, I discovered a lovely young female folk singer named Lisa Mitchell and her band playing on that stage, and their music captivated me, so much so that I may buy their debut album when it's released in July. So, wandering around is good!

I like DMB but I truly dislike their audience. I took my daughter to a concert of theirs in 2003 - she was 13. It was an outdoor concert in Connecticut. The guys were hitting on her all over the place and offering her beer. When she turned them down - they started hitting on me. My son wound up slugging one of them who slobbered all over me and tried to kiss me. The dude was so drunk he could barely stand up.

A few years later we saw them at Madison Square Garden - once again the audience was the drunkest I have ever seen - and nobody paid the slightest attention to the music. I haven't been to a live show since though I do enjoy their bootlegs in the car for driving.

Keep in mind that I have been to Led Zeppelin concerts where people were certainly in an altered state - big time LOL. I have mentioned seeing god at a certain awesome Zeppelin show. No one ever acted as obnoxiously as the Dave Matthew fans.
