Does the Times ever give anyone a good review? If I were a performer, I think I'd be worried if they liked what I did!

I very much enjoyed the halftime show so I couldn't care what review the NY Times gave the performance. I haven't had anytime to really see other people's reactions because I was too busy celebrating the win in the streets

Rugby is okay and REAL CANADIAN/AMERICAN football is great.
Show's what you know about the NHL...jack shit. The NHL was never meant to be football on ice. The game is much improved now that you can't tackle someone and not even get a penalty. Besides, both hitting and fighting are back up as well as the skill level and speed.

Plus once upon a time, you said the CFL was better than the NFL. I doubt the CFL has that caliber of a game that was witnessed last night.

that NYT article is typical journo bullshit.

doesn't actually mention anything of the playing but just gripes about fairly irrelevant stuff especially considering it was a 12 minute "set" in the middle of the world's biggest advert.

if he'd played the river they'd have been up in arms about being too heavy for the superbowl show.

And ticket sales this morning were horrible. I checked everything before I went to bed last night - and tickets were to go onsale at 10:00 am. I logged into ticketmaster at 9:20 this morning (just to be all set up) and imagine my surprise to find that the New Jersey tickets had gone onsale at 9:00 am. So I now have 2 Boston tickets and 2 Philadelphia tickets and NO Jersey tickets

OH NO! That's awful, Kathleen. I had good luck in Atlanta, but a friend in DC was on right at 10:00 and could only get a pair of nosebleeds there. I'm sure there will be a good supply in all the usual places - StubHub, etc. I realize we have more pressing issues right now, but at some point some crusading person in Congress or the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division or in a state Attorney General's office needs to start a serious antitrust investigation of the concert ticket industry.

OMG! That sucks! I would have been so pissed!

I have ALWAYS wanted to see Bruce for as long as i can remember and never have so last night i had it all planned out, i printed my seating chart, got my credit card, etc. I had to work obviously so today at school I gave my kids a huge packet to work on, logged on to the times union center and tried from 10 - 11:45 to get tickets and I couldn't even get to the page that brought up tickets, it was absolutely AWFUL. Our computers at school are all hooked up to one network and they go sooooooooooooo slow, plus i am sure the site was extremely busy anyway. So i quick came home on my lunch and of course was being offered shit seats in the high 200 section behind the stage. Um, no way, i'm too much of a concert snob for that! I did just buy three GA floor seats for Albany but i have this bad feeling my friends may not want to go now that it is GA. Oh well i will go anyway. I need to see Bruce before i die

Why is it getting concert tickets is one of the most stressful things in the world?????? ;(

Albany, NY 12/12/05. JBJ to me from the stage: "You been a good girl this year?" (Reads my sign) "Jon, It's almost Xmas I've been a very good girl! Play Blood on Blood please!" (cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I tell you what Lizz - if your friends don't want those tickets - give me a shout and Paul and I will buy them from you. I didn't go for Albany since we decided to try for Philly but I'l certainly go for GA LOL.

Good God is that true! I can just feel my blood pressure rising as the time gets close. Ticketbastard was good to me this time . . . which probably means there's no hope the next time I try to get Jovi tickets.
