I've said that somewhere before but I can't remember where - mighta been in my "Your Top 1 Musical Artist" post.

Chica - I learnt that on guitar not so long ago. Chords are easy enough, but getting the feeling and emotion of it ain't so easy But I agree, the lyrics are brilliant. I heard someone bashing that song because of the lililili's but I like them

Hell, I wouldn't have even noticed that song if Lee-Ann hadn't told me to listen to it. I was listening to The Rising in the background but not really paying much attention to it, she told me to put World's Apart on and I was blown away.

Hell, that whole album is my favourite at the moment.

Turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, turn it up.

The lililis rock! I love how that song has a kind of Eatern influence on it. If I could marry a song, I'd marry Worlds Apart. Although Backstreets is something I'm listening to a lot right now as well.

Meh, forget everything else Bruce related.

THE ONLY THING PEOPLE NEED IS THE COVER ME FROM THE LIVE BOXSET.

One of my favourite Bruce songs but dammit that live version blows me away. Gives it a much darker atmosphere and everything, then how it merges into I'm On Fire, just beautiful.

No doubt I'll pop into this thread again in half an hour to tell you all about another amazing Bruce song.

(Oh yeah Kathleen if you're taping the BTR shows, make sure you get Meeting Across The River if nothing else!)

Have to agree with you there apart from the I'm On Fire bit- never really been able to get into that song, even live versions don't do it for me.

While we're on the topic of the live box set, does the version of The River turn anyone else into a sobbing wreck? I love that song anyway (one of the first Springsteen songs I really got into) but something about that version just brings out the crybaby in me. Especially if I'm listening to the vinyl version of it.

The River is a beautiful song anyhow.

But that story he tells before the live boxset version is just amazing. I plan to make a movie of that one day! And then how the harmonica naturally finds it's place in between the few seconds of silence.

God dammit Bruce I hate you for having this control over me

I think it's the story that gets me, apart from the army thing, it's the stort of me and my dad.

Who here is going to the Giants shows?

I'm coming across to take in the final night on a family holiday. I am already at an unquantifiable state somewhere beyond ridiculously excited.
