He inspires me too, I can't really say that about any other musician. It's more than music I suppose, there's something much deeper than 'just tunes' with Bruce.

A friend of mine recently called Bruce a "Douchey rocker" I immediately called him up on it, asking why he thought that. "I just don't get him" he said. I asked had he listened to any of his stuff and he said "er not really, just bits and pieces off the radio"

I was incensed, and began into a speech on how deep Bruce's material runs and how annoyed I was that a fellow music lover had lazily tagged one of my heroes on the basis of a few singles and a misguided take on BITUSA.

I'm compiling a CD for this douchey friend. He'll thank me down the line.
