Unfortunately there were a lot of the people you mention at Bon Jovi's Central Park concert too, though I never heard them called yuppie scum or fascists LOL. They were fiercely territorial as in don't get too close - don't step on my blanket. They were a major pain in the ass.

Yeah i guess that was a way to describe it I mean laying a blanket down on the grass at the back is one thing, laying it down (or letting your daughter sleep) in the middle of a 40,000 strong crowd is making a pretty bold statement.
They just seemed very confrontational towards people who know what festivals are all about and were thusly having fun.
