First of all, I bought that copy of Nebraska on the fabulous, enduring format of cassette, so even if I'd still had it, it wouldn't have been of any use. But no, I'd long since tossed it out. And yes, I bought another copy. I was curious to see what I thought of it now, but I'd have had to buy it anyway just to complete the collection.
And I do wonder what I'd have thought about the earlier albums if I'd bought one of those instead. I love Born to Run, Darkness and The River now. But I might or might not have back then. I wasn't into music at all. It was just something to play in the background now and then. I bought very little and tended to just listen to the radio. And I didn't go to concerts either.

I think I went to one during 4 years at the University of Missouri and 1 at the University of Maryland. This music obsession is my mid-life crisis. Some people buy a convertible or trade in the spouse on a younger model. I discovered tunes.
