Incidentally, here's my slightly delayed Hyde Park review:
The setlist:
Set 1
* Given To Fly
* Why Go
* Brain Damage (Pink Floyd cover)
* Corduroy
* Got Some
* Once
* World Wide Suicide
* Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
* Amongst The Waves
* Even Flow
* Unthought Known
* Nothingman
* Arms Aloft (Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros cover)
* Not For You
* Of The Earth (new song)
* State Of Love And Trust
* Do The Evolution
* Wasted Reprise
* Better Man / Save it for Later (The Beat cover)
Encore 1
* Just Breathe
* Red Mosquito (with Ben Harper)
* Black
* Porch
Encore 2
* Go
* The Fixer
* Alive
* Yellow Ledbetter
Now that's almost definitely the best structured setlist I've seen the band play, and it meant that I finally got to see Black played up close, which was a truly phenomenal experience: the atmosphere in the crowd, singing the outro vocals, with Eddie doing the "We belong together" bit over us was amazing. Cool to see Just Breathe, Amongst The Waves and Unthought Known from Backspacer, which I didn't see last year. Good to hear Corduroy and Yellow Ledbetter again, neither of which I've seen since 2006
The band were all great of course, and they do seem to actually suit bigger stages better ... both Eddie and Matt spent some time running to the far edges of the stage, which was cool. A great show, and so far my favourite gig of this year.
