Default Metallica - Gelredome 6-12-2003

Alja and I attended a Metallica show last night it was great. This was the setlist:

Battery
Fuel
Seek and Destroy
Fade to Black
The Thing that Should Not Be
Frantic
Creeping Death
The Unnamed Feeling
Sad But True
One
Blackened
--------------
Harvester Of Sorrow
Nothing Else Matters
Master Of Puppets
--------------
St. Anger
Enter Sandman
--------------
So What
Whiplash

It was a great show all songs we wanted to hear where played. Near the end of the show there was a huge fight on the pitch, we where lucking that we where on the tribune. Some people where headbanging and became agressive and smacked each other.

What can I say more, I think this band has a lot more energy than Bon Jovi on stage nowadays.

The highlights where:
Fade To Black
Blackened
Battery
One (with loads of firework)
Master Of Puppets
Enter Sandman

I really consider going next time again, we had a great night. The support act by the way was Godsmack, all their songs sound to similiar so that was a shame.

i actually rate Godsmack as an OK band, a friend of mine from school was a huge fan and most had never even heard of them so i borrowed a few CDs and actually rated them quite well, i got hold of a bootleg for him and also thought they sounded quite good live but iv never seen them

anyway, sounds like you had a great night, shame aboutt he fighting but whatage group was that? like was it older metler fans or like punk kids?

Aloha !

A friend of mine attended Metallica at Rock Werchter and he and his girlfriend were standing in the pit. In in end he was only trying to save his girlfriend of not getting her involved in the fight by just holding her real tight near the fences. Sad but true.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

really???

Whenever i saw Metallica the atmosphere was great. No fights. No nothing. A bit of pogo and headbanging but that even happens at Bon Jovi shows.
Strange.

I wonder how it will be on Saturday at KREATOR who are much heavier.
But we'll be about 12 guys so i don't think we'll get in trouble anyway!

hahah....I don't think so.
However, I just found out I might not go....i don't know if i can catch a train on friday and flying is a bit to expensive for a band i don't really want to see. But who knows....
