The sound is outdated though - very compressed and anal sounding. The newer remastered version does sound better though.

I've always prefered the numerous live versions to the original. I think the magic of the song is far more evident when done live, as with a lot of Bruce songs.

i could stay here all night talking about Bruce. I've been a fan for 2 years but during my first year as a fan I felt like I had been a hardcore for 20 years. Never experienced such thing with ANY artist. and yeah thunder road is among his finest, if not his finest ever. but then again they're all good !
