Any Van Halen fans around? Just thought I'd ask. I'd absolutely love to see these live at some point, hoping they'll get back together again eventually. Count me in! I love Dreams too, but I've also started paying attention to their more guitar heavy stuff recently ... love Aint Talking Bout Love! Havent actually got any of their albums, but do have both of the greatest hits that they've released to date. I'd go and see them live, definetely

I love Van Halen, they're my favorite band. If you're a new fan, pick up the 2CD best of (Best of Both Worlds). It has all the essential Hagar/Roth tunes, so it's a good introduction. There are only 2 essential tunes missing from that set: Mean Street (Roth) and Humans Being (Hagar).

I prefer Hagar's voice, but prefer the guitar work during the Roth era.

It's highly unlikely that they will ever tour again, I was fortunate to catch their last tour with Hagar before it all imploded. Great shows. Eddie is a genious but he's hard to get along with. And Hagar is probably easier to get along with compared to Roth. So don't count your breath on reunions.

Yeah good band. I like the live version of Panama on the Best of Both Worlds compilation. I think it misses Me Wise Magic along with Humans Being though. Those two are very good muscially.

i dont think anyones gonna deny that sammy has a better voice than DLR but i hate sammy singing 'daves songs' (if you like) . his voice just sounds so wrong! as much as i love this band hearing songs especially like panama sung by sammy makes me wanna scream.

i really like the video to that. theres this one bit where some reporter is talking to edward and michael and eddie just cuts michael off. its so classic!!! edward van halen is so cool such a conceited little muppet but you gotta love him

They did reunite last year - I saw them at Continental here in Jersey with Sammy Hagar. I even have a few boots from that tour. Eddie was in great form - he even played some solo stuff with his son (who was only about 14).

Sammy put on a great show and it was a very satisfying concert in my opinion.

I thought the video for Dreams was the one with the Top Gun style Fighter Planes or Stunt Planes in it? That's a damn cool video.. especially because I'm sure there are some little fills in the video that aren't in the studio recorded version of the track..
