Van Halen

Has anyone gone to any Van Halen shows this year or watched any of the live videos? They sound great.

I've seen a couple of youtube videos, and they didn't sound good, but that's youtube so who knows?
I saw them on the '04 Reunion Tour (On the second or third night, before Eddie relapsed) and they were alright. I know it's alot different with Dave, but tickets just didn't interest me for this though.

I think they sound good compared to 2004 and Dave sounds better than he has since the first few tours.

I have. Before people start saying 2007 rules over 2004, they must remember that Eddie didn't go loony until they extended the 2004 tour. I saw the early shows in 2004 and he still sounded good, and so did the band.

DLR sounded decent when I saw them this tour, not as bad as some of the bootlegs from previous tours that I've heard. However, Eddie's solo wasn't too exciting this time. I was actually bored. Which surprised me.

I recommend everybody who loves VH to see 1 show from this tour before Eddie flips out again. The setlist is killer. Actually, Eddie did flip out in New Jersey so get ready for a full meltdown sometime.

Eddie ruins the whole Van Halen experience for me. If he stayed straight then I'd be more inclined to give a sh1t...

The youtube sounds allright to me.

Me either! the ony youtube clip was shitty was that "jump"-Clip when the keyboards (from tape) were played too fast and Eddie desperately was trying to change his key! Didn't work out

They're wipin the floor with Bon Jovi in their current state!

Most of them sound pretty good.
