Default Vince Neil Arrested :(

So my man-crush got arrested on DUI charges. No, no, it ain't Richie Sambora again. 'Tis Vince Neil

Everything seemed to be going right for Motley Crue singer Vince Neil. He has a new comeback record, "Tattoos & Tequila," and was starting to make the press rounds last week when he decided to kick back in Las Vegas for some classic rock 'n' roll partying.

That's when things went wrong. According to MTV, Neil was pulled over by police early Monday morning for driving drunk after leaving Tres Rios, a Vegas restaurant that he owns.

While a DUI arrest is always a horrible blemish on one's record, this situation is even worse because Neil was the driver of a car that crashed in 1984, resulting in the death of fellow musician Nicolas "Razzle" Dingley. As of this morning, Neil was still being held at Clark County Jail with minimum bail set at $2,000 pending a court appearance.

The Tres Rios restaurant that Neil owns was created as a de facto clubhouse for a tequila brand that he launched in 2007. At the time, he spoke to the press about the importance of always driving sober, using his own past as a lesson to avoid taking a drink and getting behind the wheel of a car.

"I don't endorse drinking and driving," he said at tequila's launch party. "I endorse driving responsibly. I made a tragic mistake that cost one of my dear friends his life."

Oh Vince m'dear

I want to defend him from your hurtful comments, but I can't justify doing it

Well, this is just tragic. A month ago, I interviewed Vince and asked him if he was having a hard time staying sober these days – and he just snorted at me for asking such a mindless and stupid question. Then last week, I spoke to Michael Monroe and Sam Yaffa of the original Hanoi Rocks, and they told me about how eerie it felt to play Brixton in Redondo Beach earlier this year, as the club is located just 200 meters away from Vince Neil's old apartment and the guys hadn't been back there since the accident.

And now these news...

When it comes to this, yes, he most certainly was . . . just a luckier one. Richie was "armed" with a Hummer and had kids in the car. Thank goodness he was stopped when he was.

As Terri said yes he is, drink driving isn't clever at all. No matter who it is, it makes you a selfish jackass, it's not you and the people in the car your endangering but also other drivers!

Bunch of jackass'

And I have to agree with Terri - as much of a Richie fan as I am. I like alcohol but honestly, drinking and driving is NOT smart - for your own safety, for anyone in your car or for anyone else out on the road.

And this isn't the first time. After he killed Razzle, he's been busted at least once before this, but he got away with it on some technicality. How many people does he have to kill?

Are you half of that Swedish duo that goes around Hollywood looking for celebs for their TV show? Or a legitimate journalist?
