Meat Loaf - Hang Cool Teddy Bear
I gave Meat the benefit of the doubt on this one and was really suprised how good this album is, the best since Bat out of hell 2 at least. It's unmistakeably Meat Loaf and ovedramatic but feels and sounds different to his other albums. It's also classic rock bordering on metal that shows that man can still rock with the best.
I was also pleasantly suprised with the guest collaboration; Jack Blacks backing vocals in 'Like a Rose' are good, in fact, I'd say this was one of the songs on the album. Hugh Laurie demonstrates his piano playing ability in 'If I can't have you' and Brian May's contributions are excellent as predicted. Certainly worth a listen for any Meat Loaf fans.
