Robbie used to write his songs with Guy Chambers, but after finishing Escapology they split, so Robbie will either write the next album himself, or probably get another co-writer.

From what I remember Guy didn't like Robbie's decisions about which tracks should be on the album, so I don't know if he left or was fired.

No. At least Robbie used real instruments on that song and even on the whole album. He also writes/wrote his own songs, so I don't think it's a bad thing.
