Ha! The latter obviously, he didn't need autotune back then.

I often wish current technology was available during their heyday. I have (had) so many vhs recordings of interviews, live performances, MTV weekends, news segments etc etc which I recorded myself. Sadly, a lot have not stood the test of time very well or have been taped over or lost.

And THIS is the problem with Bon Jovi... Not only do they deliver very little. They are never consistent with the little that they do promise. Not that I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for it, but they said they are releasing new vids every Monday and Thursday. Today is now Monday and No Video!!! Typical.

It's lazy and very badly made.

Def Leppard put out regular on the road videos that are informative and funny. I'm not even a fan but I find them interesting and the band seem very down to earth.

Jon has never seemed to like having cameras following him around so that could be the reason we don't get something similar.

Specially with THAT selection of songs...

Christ, how much more could you auto-tune a "live" performance? I remember it sounding a whole lot different being there, e.g. much worse.

This level of doctoring on videos and then bragging about how great you're sounding nowadays is pretty twisted.

JBJ need to stop dance like this video,
and to stop sending kisses blown to Phil X. It also looks pretty twisted.

I don't mind it because:

A. Practically every band (including Bon Jovi during the golden years) use it when releasing official audio/videos.

B. The music is now somewhat listenable... I can make a 2019 mix of live material and actually listen to it... without it, I can't do it.

Sure, they are using the heck out of it and it's much more obvious but I rather it be this way...

You can make one spelling error or 100 but as long as you run it through spell check before you give it to your boss, it's all good.. I wasn't at the show and I sure as heck didn't watch the YouTube version of it, so I'll take this as they presented it to us.

I was thinking exactly the same. Although with Bobby I could barely hear him play the acoustic, now with Shanks it's seems too high for me. But was a good performance in the overall.
