Nah, it's playback.

It's because it's a playback from some live presentation.

For me, even Jon's voice sounds like a playback to me. There times that he's far from the mic but his voice sounds too close.

Sounds so much better than today's versions.

Wish Jon could sound like that!

And we all thought his voice sucked in 2005! :(

It did by 80's and 90's standards... Jon always singing his current music the best during inception... It usually lasts until he finds ways to create short cuts and simplify it...

I just read somewhere that if you get vocal surgery, you can't talk for months... So just based off of that, Jon would never do it... The dude loves to hear himself talk...
