If it wasn't aimed at me then do carry on and tell me who has made this statement.

It was a general comment. I would have quoted you if I meant you specifically.

It's just an observation. Some think success is all about selling out stadiums and having #1 albums. And since Richie's solo records don't reach the top of the charts and he doesn't sell out stadiums without the band, he is "nothing" without them. That's just a shallow way to look at it, imo.
I don't need my favorite artists to have commercial success in order to get my admiration for their talent. I just need them to make good, honest music (which is something Bon Jovi have long failed to do, sadly).

That means jack shit. Richie is/was trying to acclaim credibility and commercialism. And failed miserably. He is NOTHING without Bon Jovi. He's tried it 3 times and failed. Even though album 1 was a masterclass.

Contradicting yourself twice within a couple of minutes (once in the same post) and then you expect people to have discussions with you. Get lost man, waste of time!

Ahhh shouldn't that be "formerly of Bon Jovi" or just Richie Sambora with no mention of the band. He has nothing to do with the band these days.

Bon Jovi is his claim to fame. It doesn't matter whether or not he's currently with the band, the past six months don't erase his 29 years of contribution.

Any time ANY celebrity is involved in a project outside what they're known for, media always references the role they're known for. There is nothing wrong with that. It's common practice.

That's commercial success. One does not have to sell out stadiums and have a #1 album to be deemed successful. And it certainly doesn't mean they're "nothing" if they don't, as was said upthread.
