Richie Sambora is headed to Australia!


But we're not sure Bon Jovi fans should get too excited; he is coming here for the Melbourne Cup as a guest of coffee-maker, Lavazza.

Sambora is, of course, a founding member of Bon Jovi.

"I'm pumped to be coming to Australia as a guest of Lavazza and I can't wait for Melbourne Cup Day," said Sambora, who performs at this weekend's Breeder's Cup at Santa Anita Park in California ahead of his Australian trip.

But, given the Cup is in early November and Bon Jovi doesn't play in Australia until December it still seems unlikely Sambora will join Jon Bon Jovi and other band members on stage in Australia.

Sambora is embroiled in a bitter dispute with the Bon Jovi frontman.

However, another high profile figure joining Sambora at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day will be Kate Upton. You know, KATE UPTON! >

Richie doing a horse racing tour of the world, I should try and get him to do a set at Newmarket nights!

Well no-one would have believed you pre tour if you'd have said Richie was bailing the tour to sell panties.

As if anyone will even remotely care for his opinion on anything else but when he will be back in Bon Jovi. They're just happy they get some sort of celeb on the show, but it completely beats me as to why he actually thinks it matters what he does beside Bon Jovi.
