Each news in this thread makes my heart sing :) It’s so great to know this album is really in the works, after so many rumours and tries about it in about last 10 years. Better late than never :) I so can’t wait for the outcome!

That's kind of what I'm saying. When used sparingly, you can barely notice it's there and it's a great effect. People think it was dropped between Slippery and Crush but it's been used a bit in tasteful ways. After IML hit it just feels like it's there because it's Richie's "sound".

Off the top of my head:

Prayer, Let's Make it Baby, In These Arms and All I want is Everything (it's in Arms, I promise, very low in the mix for a second), then IML happened and it turned into a gimmick.

IML, Everyday, Bounce, Love me Back to Life, I wanna be loved, Complicated, We got it going on, Put the boy back in Cowboy, Happy Now, Bullet. A bunch of one offs/guest appearances (The Insider theme song, MAYBE the track with LL Cool J. I know there was a pic from the sessions with a talk box). I just don't think it's used creatively enough to warrant it being used as much as it is. I didn't mean to say as much as I did, hah.

Where in "In These Arms" can you hear the talkbox ? I've never noticed anything like it.

I've mentioned it a few times on the board and I, don't think, anyone has agreed with me so far.

0:12 panned right and 0:35 panned left. It's not as in your face as he's been using the talkbox in recent years.

I agree with you, I posted it on the chat thing a while back and no-one agreed with me either so at least we've found each other haha. Although I'd say it's easiest to hear at 1:05 under "Baby I want you"

I don't know what planet you two are on, talkbox in In these Arms? Maybe its just my crappy laptop speakers, but I think your hearing things that aren't there! If anything, that background effect at 1.05 is just a wind type effect.

Richie shouts my name out before the solo in Wanted when they play it live, just sayin..

At the 0:12 mark I hear it more as Jon singing "Yeeeeaaaah" and at 0:35 I can't tell what you mean, I just head very simple, clean chord.
