LOL :))))))))))))))).
I always wondered why Jon started doing those stupid faces,he looks like a constipated old man and I think that's a very bad technique.Just try pulling your mouth up like he does and try singing like that, you will se why Jon pronounces the words so bad. Here's an example

At 5:30 why the hell does he do that? It's not even a high note or anything,I think it's just a stupid habbit that he developed over the years, just like Takemyheen, dead or halive, heimeeen(amen),shot through the haa etc.

Richie's voice is high in the mix in that example and sounds so much better than Jon's. He is older than Jon so it can't be just a age thing. I don't know if Richie has given up smoking yet (as Jon did before the Circle tour) so it can't just be that. Jon has overused his voice-- a lot of rock artists do -- and doesn't take care of it as he should. Some concerts are too close together and at least during the Circle tour, he was giving a ton of interviews to different media outlets about music, politics, football and his Soul Kitchen on top of singing. The more you talk and sing, the more you stress your voice. And it has been going on for 30 years. The BWC tour w/o Richie really stressed his voice. He got a break in terms of interviews because he just doesn't get the media interest as in the past (plus he also probably didn't want to give a lot of interviews so as to not address the Richie situation).

Hair is a lot of it (which I addressed on another thread) but age is tricky--it is harder to recover from long hours, travel and hard work. In these last months Richie has been working on new music, touring Australia, recording, getting ready to tour again, promoting his upcoming gigs, etc. Now he is on the road again. He is probably not going to the gym, not sleeping enough, not as careful with his nutrition. However, once before he managed to go from an overweight mess to someone trim and fit so perhaps he can do it again. I don't think he sounds drunk--he has never been as careful and articulate as Jon.

richie keeps messing up the same parts in the answer...i am a big fan but i m always a bit diassapointed with his sloppiness....its your song and you have all the time to practise it...still the same mistakes...if it wasnt the piano the mistakes would be more obvious

I meant the vocal performance, not perfect, but great for me.
