I can't sing a love song, like the way it's meant to be.

You're not wrong there Jon. He can still get away with letting the crowd sing the more painful notes though.

He definitely needs to. Just do it as the 4th song or something to get it out of the way.

So it is said that there were 14,000 people in attendance:

It was clear the band had felt the test of time, Bon Jovi’s voice noticeably weathered since their glory days. But as the band members slammed away on their instruments and Bon Jovi danced onstage, there was no doubt that the rock spirit of the band and their fans had remained untainted.

Is that to the point or what?

No it wasn't. It's always been played in D. Even at the launch party of New Jersey it was played in D. They've never played it in it's original tuning as far as I'm aware.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah it was late when I checked last night but the big chord hit before the second half of the first verse is Ab (or D if you're tuned down half a step). Were they tuning down half a step in 89?

I was expecting my ears to bleed during that Always but it was not as bad as I thought it would be. It's terrible still but the set needed a hit ballad desperately.

Only 14,000 people in Seoul after 20 years? Expected at least 4 times as much.

The hair and the voice again!

Front man Jon Bon Jovi's hair might have gone from long and blonde to thick, short and silver over the 20 years since he last appeared in Korea,

Though the lead vocalist, now 53, broke on some of his higher notes, he squeezed out as much as he could and worked the stage with ease and force, to which the audience responded with heightened enthusiasm.

"His voice wasn't in the best of condition, but that doesn't matter to fans," said Joo Seung-woo, 34. "It was the best concert I've been to in years."

Would Always work with the crowd singing the choruses? Maybe some ad libs between chorus lines from the audience?

I kinda get the feeling people just want to listen/sing that song that means so much to them surrounded by people that feel the same way. If people went to Bon jovi for a singing masterclass they would've left long ago.
