Jovitalk - Bon Jovi Fan Community - No Richie on current leg of the tour

Anyone else notice that Richie is a tweeting fool lately, but hasn't mentioned word one about the new New Jersey release? Why isn't he promoting it? Even if he has unofficially quit, he's still receiving royalties from it. Why shun it? Same with Access All Areas airing tomorrow. Other than singing some Bon Jovi songs at his solo shows, and the noncommittal answer to the media that he may return one day, Bon Jovi is completely off his radar.

The New Jersey demos and Access All Areas would not exist without him. Where is the love Richie? Promote these treasures!

Anyone else bothered that he's ignoring this? Am I the only one? :lol:

In fairness I don't think the Bon Jovi camp have done a great deal to promote this so its not surprising to me that their lead guitarist (who isnt actually in the band) hasnt done any promoting of it.

He's made it very clear he's not in the band for now and his focus is on being a solo artist and his kid. I don't see why he'd blur the lines and throw in a plug for something he'll have had next to no input in the release of.

I do not hate Richie Sambora, quite the opposite. I want him back in the band. I want him to be proud of these now officially released demos that he co-wrote by mentioning them. I'm bothered that he hasn't promoted it because it shows he's distancing himself from the band even more and that is the exact opposite of what I'd like to see happen. It wasn't criticism Rolo. Chill out.

I am not bothered in the slightest that Richie is not promoting New Jersey--that is the job of Jon and JBJ Management. Richie is focused on his solo efforts and promoting that. Jon hasn't given a shout out to Richie on his birthday in a couple of years like he has done for other band members. Jon hasn't promoted the fundraiser Midnight Madness is having in honor of Richie's 55th birthday. So what?

But ain't it a very niche release? For releases like that I always thought most potential buyers are already aware.

I don't think Jon could've wanted this release to happen, since people would want some songs live and we all know how he is with "old stuff"..

If Jon didn't want to release to happen, I find it highly doubtful that it would have happened. They probably have been planning this release for years since they didn't include those demos in the Box Set.

PS: I just noticed I have a Jovi Obsession now instead of I'll Post When I'm Dead! I wonder when that happened? :lol: I liked I'll Post When I'm Dead.
