Absolutely. That's the same attitude I'm having. Just go and try to make the best out of it. My mindset about this is there are three guys I love on that stage giving their all despite and during the storm, so I'm gonna do my best to make them feel my support. No point in going expecting the worst. And of course I'm with Crashed about the music: as much as I might feel a little nostalgic about some aspects of it, I still enjoy it a great lot.
I'm nowhere near the same kind of conclusions Beaky's drawn, I just feel like I share the level of frustration, especially about the Richie thing.

I've just got notified of this new article about Bon Jovi wanting to play Israel and checking it off the list of places they haven't played yet.
To further prove their point, they provide a video interview with Jon from back in January where he mentions this. I remember watching this interview back then, but now I've just watched it again and what Jon says about rehearsing jumped at me like a big bright red alarm. Maybe I'm reading too much into this and maybe it's been already pointed out, but just thought I'd share.

Thats rather harsh on the guy considering he is not to blame for any of it and has slowly grown into the roll and enjoyed it. If Richie comes back Phil should be allowed to contine to play.

Personally, I think Richie is no longer in Bonjovi full stop and it just cannot be announced until the tour ends. I would like to be wrong but if it was simple words spoken out of turn or not being able to play songs etc then it would have been resolved by now. It has gone on too long.

Just to clarify, you can get a refund for the Mohegan show. I did.

Why? He's got a point... Phil's not to blame for any of this, in fact he saved the asses of Jon, David, Tico and Hugh. And I think he does fairly great, and still improves! Hell, I would never have thought it would be possible for someone to fill in a) as good as Phil does and b) without weeks or months of preparation. So, yes, the fans deserve Phil, because the alternative would be just Jon and Bobby on guitar, and how the f*ck would want that? And don't give me any "the tour should have been postponed or rescheduled" bullshit - we both know Jon would never do that and that there's no scenario in which he could possibly win in your eyes...

So, back to the previous post: if there should be any way that he could be kept onboard, I'm all for it, since I really like the guy and his playing, but I really don't see that happening...

Thanks, bought a pkg through the fc for this show. They will only refund the ticket price and the pkg cost about twice that. Since that one is within driving distance for me, at least I don't have travel expenses other than gas.

At this point I'd feel bad for all the fans who got refunds or have already attended a Richie-less concert, if he suddenly popped back up on stage. (Not to take away from fans with concerts yet to come, I know you're wanting Richie back. :))

That's my problem. I have tickets for the Cologne Show. I'm close to give them back but there is this "danger" that he could return suddenly. Nevertheless I don't think so. The official statement was/is that he won't be on stage in Europe and that's what counts.

If he does (which I highly doubt) then you can pick up some cheap tickets for Villa the next night.

Richie somewhere in this mess said that Jon was making it really difficult to return. On the other hand, I don't think Jon would be making it difficult unless there was a reason. After 30 years of history I have to believe that it is more than just egos that are the problem.

I want to see another show when they tour North America again but will wait to see if Richie is back. I really like and admire PhilX for the job he is doing but I really want to see the full band with Richie.
