Please let the 2nd disc be of the remainder of the songs recorded as planned originally.

The third disk is a DVD. Access All Areas I presume.

i haven't been this pumped up for a release since.... New Jersey.
I can not freaking wait to see the track listing. So far so good. This is exactly what we all predicted. Hopefully we'll get a second box set soon. I was thinking maybe we'd get Sex Sells. Nah. But that would be cool. |
Well, IF we'd really get all those NJ demos now, it'd possible that in near future we'd get another similar releases with SWW demos and, as Rdkopper said, Sex Sells. That's what The Rolling Stones are doing now - for example the album "Some Girls" was re-realeased 2 years ago with 12 "new" songs on 2nd CD :)
Funny thing is that Richie's "split for a while", which means that the band isn't recording any new material, may give us the chance to get the best BJ releases for decades... :D |
The Stones tweaked the unfinished demos, though... even brought back Mick Taylor to do so. Bon Jovi should finish up some of these demos as well, but given the state of Jon's voice and the situation with Richie, I doubt it.
I just hope disk 2 isn't just demo versions of the album tracks. That'd suck big time. |

If the DVD is AAA lets hope for lots of unreleased footage. |

Pretty cool! However, I think the DVD is most likely AAA. Considering it was already released on DVD with the special editions in japan it seems likely thats what the dvd is. I highly doubt its hammersmith...however if it is....good lord almighty!!!! I wouldn't leave my house for two weeks! lol |

I have a feeling that we are going to be disappointed. I guess based on past experiences. I just hope that photo from Hammersmith isn't being used for AAA and is being used because songs from that show are being included. |
I think its a fairly safe bet the DVD is AAA. I can't picture it being anything else. The question is what is on the 2nd CD.
I'd imagine its something readily available from the archive that required minimal work and cost attached to it. Potentially demo's that only had a very limited release at the time e.g Love Is War. Or maybe unreleased live cuts/acoustic versions. By the look of pack shots above, it doesn't look very special. When you look at the time and effort that goes into the Springsteen box sets, you have to question why the same can't be done for this band. You could very easily put a comprehensive box set, akin to the quality of a BTR box or Darkness box for Slippery and or New Jersey. That would be special. Fingers crossed disc 2 is something half decent. |

wait? what? where did u find this????
|
oh, sorry missed your link...this is awesome!!!! the only track missing is 'Rosie"...would have been cool but so what...i cant wait!!!
|
Yep. Pretty much official. It's all over now.
Maybe Cadillac Man will be a hidden track. |
Quote:
In America is missing. Rosie is missing because Richie did it, probably. A even a new track. Full Moon High |
I think its cool. I always thought the audio quality of Love Is War was pretty bad, so remastered version will be cool. I wonder if lets make it baby is the same version from the TD deluxe? or the X rated demo?
|
I believe Full moon High was titled 'River Of Love" on all the nj bootlegs over the years.. Not the richie song, but a bon jovi song. Im fairly certain Full Moon high is river of love....and yeah bet they left off rosie since richie already released a proper version.
|
Quote:
Full Moon High probably is what's currently circulated as River of Love. I once read somewhere that the film studio owns the rights on the song (and probably subsequently on the recording) of Cadillac Man, so the band may not even be able to release it if they wanted to. |

I agree. It seems they may have gotten right on with this release. I was actually wondering if this was gonna be like the special editions where they split up all the demos and made ya buy 10 different version to get them all! lol glad to see its not!
|
I know Love is war was released. What I mean is that I always found the officially released version from the living in sin single to have poor audio quality and it could use a remastering....same goes for that acoustic version of BTBMB.
|
i wonder if the normal album will have extra things on them like they did with sww, slightly extended songs...

Would they for once actually be doing something right?!? Looks like a dream come true.
I couldn't care less about "Cadillac Man". Never understood the excitement. |
Considering the rift between BJ and RS it really makes you think why no Rosie??? I mean House Of Fire and Does anybody really fall in love were released by other artists and they're being included!
|
Homebound Train demo? Wild is the Wind demo? Stick to your Guns demo?
These songs should have occupied this place. In America Rosie We All Sleep Alone Obie said he was working on 2 projects. I hope that the second is a box set or one album with 3 discs, and include Cadillac Man, Nothing (from HAND) and some unreleased songs from Sex Sells, WAN and SWW outtakes. |
Quote:
As someone pointed out, Cadillac Man wasn't really written for NJ, nor was it supposed to be on Sons Of Beaches. So unless it's a hidden track or something, Obie actually got it right. This is basically the album as it's intended initial release. I like that they are adding AAA with the NJ videos. It really just completes the package. BTY, I agree with the above post that Cadillac Man is a little overrated but it's my goal to get everything in the best possible quality, especially from that time period. |

When I said "it's all over" I meant all over the internet. It's an official track listing because it's all over the internet. Trust me. I'm probably the most excited person here right now! |
I am very excited! Plus demo version of Homebound Train, Guns, Wind, and the original version of Diamond Ring!!!!! I love stuff like that!
|
Aloha !

It's as if they carefully looked what had already been leaked, just so no one would get anything they didn't have yet. Everything's already out there, albeit some of it probably in inferior quality. That said, considering how sterile the demo of Prayer suddenly sounded, it wouldn't surprise me if Obie mixed the life out of these demo's as well so they'd sound crystal clear, yet rather dead. The idea of having the full Sons of Beaches sessions sounds great, but it looks like it'll always be just that considering how half of it is missing. I really see no point in this release, nor why anyone should get extremely excited about it, and I'd like to think I'm the target market. They're very much aware everyone wants decent live recordings from back then. There's 88 official minutes for Access All Areas. What about the outtakes? Would it really have hurt to release a properly mixed live recording from those days? What's their excuse this time? Unless it's reasonably priced I'll give this one another pass. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
i agree, a concert from tha era would be really great!! there are very few decent bootlegs from that era and hammersmith odeon, giants stadium, wembley 89 are all highly anticipated by the fan base. they could easily edit them and release a proper live dvd...unfortunatelly it probably will never happen but imo a good live band should have a proper dvd release from its era.
ps. the video collection always seems pointless to me, while a concert would bbe a highlight for sure |

It's not too bad if it was reasonably priced and they did the same sort of thing with other albums.
But as already said on here, Discs 1 and 3 are redundant and we have most of disc 2 anyway in fairly decent form, hopefully the quality would make the songs stand out some more. It's a start and if they carried it on with other albums could have us a really decent lot of demos in decent quality, but they really haven't dug that deep. As good as AAA is, everyone who would want to see it already has. Fair play if they get it on blu ray, but it needs a lot Be nice if they made more play of the "Sons Of Beaches" title with different artwork and the like rather than just the NJ album with a little sticker on it. |
Why Love is War in Disc 1?
Perhaps Disc 2 does not sound good, like Living on a Prayer (Demo version) hidden in the Box set 100 millions... Living on a Prayer Demo (box set) different shots: Love is War (b-side) GREAT MIX Love Is War (Demo) POOR MIX Homebound Train (Demo) POOR MIX Growing Up The Hard Way (Demo) POOR MIX I think it will not sound good the disc 2. |
Why the hell just when they confirmed that we would get what we wanted, most of you started to complain...? ;)

If these songs have great sound as We Rule The Night and Out Of Bounds, successfully fulfilled one of my dreams. |
I am super excited! Songs that I got on a bootleg CD in 1996 at a record show and have been listening to for 18 years are being released! it's awesome! I kinda hope they do have "demo" feel to them! They should! They are afterall DEMOS! I cant wait!
Oh, and here's a link where its says "BJ launching 30th Anniv. Campaign" meaning more is coming...we know at least one more, maybe more! http://www.broadwayworld.com/bwwmusi...paign-20140520 |
